We heard a few seats are still available for this free teacher workshop, particularly pertinent to world history, economics, and art teachers, offered by Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. Enjoy a multidisciplinary exploration of the history, economics, and art of cotton as a global commodity, including attention to the economic, labor and consumer issues surrounding the global fashion industry in the Indian Ocean region today. Teachers will receive a new teaching unit, as well as a fascinating book on globalization of fashion, and other materials. An Indian lunch is provided!
