Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Research Program

Travel Dates: 3-6 months during the 2025-26 School Year and/or Summer 2026

Sponsored by the US State Department and administered by IREX, the Distinguished Fulbright Awards in Teaching Research Program provides an opportunity for highly accomplished K-12 educators from the US to conduct research and engage in other professional learning experiences abroad for three to six months. Program participants conduct individual research projects on a topic relevant to education in the US and the host country and collaborate with colleagues on educational practices to improve student learning. Applicants must be US citizens, with a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience.  K-12 teachers, curriculum heads, media specialists/librarians, counselors, and other specified staff are eligible. Participating countries in SY2025-26 are: Brazil, Colombia, Finland, Greece, Iceland, India, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK, and Vietnam.
