Funded by the US State Department and administered by IREX, this exchange sends expert K-12 educators from the US to participating countries to carry out short-term assignments abroad in STEM, TEFL, and other educational fields to address specific needs of those countries. Educators support and work in schools, teacher training colleges, government ministries, or non-governmental organizations. Participating countries are Colombia, India, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories, Peru, Philippines, Spain, Uganda, and Vietnam. Applicants must be US citizens with a minimum of three years full-time K-12 instructional experience.
