Global Classrooms DC (GCDC) is the flagship global education program of the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA). As a Model UN program, GCDC introduces students in grades 5-12 to the work of the United Nations and international issues to prepare globally aware citizens. GCDC provides an engaging global education curriculum, centered on debate-style mini Model UN simulations. The program hosts two Model UN Conferences during the school year, as well as engagements with UN agencies and international affairs experts. GCDC curriculum, materials, and programming will be available virtually for online teaching. The program is offered at no cost to DC classrooms.
