Hung Tao Choy Mei Leadership Institute (HTCMLI) is a leadership development organization focused on developing lifelong skills for adults and children of Washington, DC. For decades HTCMLI has taught kung fu, Chinese lion dance, Chinese thunder drumming, and African djembe drumming to DC schoolchildren.
HTCMLI is now recruiting students, ages 6-18, for free African djembe drumming classes on Saturdays 2-3 pm at its U Street location. The course is taught by master percussionist Jabari Exum. Act now before spaces are filled for this incredible free opportunity.
From 12-2pm on Saturdays, HTCMLI offers kung fu, lion dance, and Chinese drumming classes for the same age group – also free.
