Japan in a Suitcase is one of the signature programs of the Japan America Society of Washington, DC (JASWDC). In normal times, Japan in a Suitcase presenters visit classrooms, libraries, and festivals with a suitcase filled with artifacts to share interesting and fun information about Japanese life and culture, along with hands-on activities. During the pandemic, JASWDC is taking the program online with weekly videos, sharing crafts and Japanese cultural activities for kids.
