Here’s a new opportunity for DC students who have a passion for Japan. As a substitute for our Japanese Plus program during COVID-19 restrictions, we are offering a new free online program, Japanese Tamago, for DC public high school students. This program will offer introductory Japanese language, as well as cultural lessons and special guest visitors. Japanese Tamago will meet once a week for two hours, beginning mid-October. We will accept up to 30 students. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a DCPS or DC charter high school, and committed to full participation in our weekly meetings.
