National Security Fellows Program

Program Dates: 15 weeks beginning February 1, 2022
Application Deadline: November 12, 2021

Girl Security believes that girls, young women, and gender minorities are the future of security – where a more secure nation is a more prosperous nation. The National Security Fellows program is a virtual 15-week knowledge and skills building program designed to allow participants to develop a meaningful understanding of national security, which includes government, law, cybersecurity, military, tech, academia, advocacy and more, and to cultivate the kind of relation-based networks with peers, mentors, and professionals needed to thrive in a male-dominated field. The Fellows program requires 3-5 hours of individual and collaborative learning, project management, and reflection per week for 15 weeks. There will be virtual sessions every other Tuesday during the program period. Fellows will earn a $1,000 stipend upon program completion! Applicants must be juniors or seniors in high school or in the first two years of college.
