Through the NEA Global Learning Fellowship, public school educators develop the knowledge and skills to integrate global competency into their daily classroom instruction, advocate for global competency within their schools and districts, and help students thrive in our increasingly interconnected world. Fellows transform their classrooms to give students a global perspective.
This fully funded 12-month professional development program includes participation in an online global education course, a two-day fall professional development workshop, and a 10-day international field experience to Costa Rica. Fellows are required to complete capstone projects to apply what they have learned through the fellowship in their classrooms. Applicants must be active NEA members who are current K-12 classroom teachers, with three or more years of teaching experience.
