World Smarts Changemakers is a virtual exchange program that connects students from the US and Guatemala in a problem-based learning experience through bilingual conversations that inspire cultural awareness, language immersion, and community development. IREX, the program implementer, invites 6th-9th grade teachers in DC, Maryland, and Virginia schools to apply to serve as facilitators to lead a US-Guatemala exchange in their schools and to globalize their classrooms. In addition to technical and program support, facilitators will receive a $500 honorarium and Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the project.
